Position Title: Remote Research Assistant

Lead: Prof. Michael Kramer, Department of Economics, University of Chicago

About the Role

The University of Chicago seeks motivated Maroons from all departments to work remotely on research projects under Prof. Kramer’s supervision. This role offers flexibility, real-world experience, and collaboration across disciplines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and gather data

• Assist with data analysis and interpretation

• Help draft sections of reports, papers, or presentations

• Participate in virtual meetings and coordinate tasks

Who Should Apply

• All UChicago students (undergraduate & graduate), any major

• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly

• Some familiarity with research tools/software is a bonus

Compensation & Benefits

• Fully remote work with flexible hours

• Paid at a rate of twenty dollars per hour

• Payment processed through the University of Chicago student employment system
